Introduced by amateur plant breeder Hector Harrison in the 1990’s and named after his daughter, Stella. Also known as Hector’s Greengage, it is a highly productive fruit tree from a young age and easier to grow than some forms. ‘Stella’s Star’ is a self-fertile greengage, well-suited to the climate of southern and central UK and more suited to culinary use.
- Garden care: When planting incorporate lots of well-rotted garden compost in the planting hole and stake firmly. Prune in summer to reduce the risk of silver leaf and bacterial canker.
| Option | bare root, SJA root stock, 1.2m |
