An upright, evergreen tropical houseplant with thick, leathery, often decoratively speckled or intensely coloured, variegated leaves. These are rich green, patterned (and in some cases completely covered) with yellow, orange and copper when young and developing dark green with age. ‘Mango Tango’ may bear sprays of small, white, star-shaped flowers in summer though this is more noticeable on mature specimens.

Home care:

Water freely when in growth, but keep dryer in winter. Mist the leaves regularly with water to increase humidity and every so often put it under a cold shower to wash off the leaves. Make sure the winter temperatures stay above 10°C, and repot every couple of years.
