A deciduous climber, for frames, pots or scrambling through climbing roses to add a splash of colour, ‘Tumaini’ also adds a foil of mid-green foliage backdrop to other leggy climbers and shrubs. Large, lilac to lavender tinted and pointed petals, each with a mauve band along its midrib, and tufted thistle-like centres blooming from June to September.
- Garden care: Remove dead and damaged stems before growth begins in early spring, cutting all remaining stems back to where strong buds are visible. Apply a slow-release balanced fertiliser and a mulch of of well-rotted garden compost around the base of the plant in early spring.
